Workshop details

Date: Sunday, November 15, 2026
Time: 1:00–3:00 PM Central Time
Location: Online
Cost: $35
Group size: Limited to 10 participants

What might happen if we slowed down long enough to listen to the different experiences within us, rather than trying to push them away or make them disappear?

What will we do or explore in the workshop?
Join me for an afternoon of reflection, creative expression, and inner exploration. We'll explore what it feels like to connect with a grounded, compassionate sense of ourselves and also give voice / connect to another inner experience that may be harder to understand or put into words, perhaps an emotion, familiar response, or feeling that can be difficult to put into words.
You will be invited to see what happens when you allow these two parts inside to meet one another…there may be healing, love, clarity, or something else altogether.

Okay, but really, who is this workshop for?
This workshop is made with adults (18+) who are curious about self-understanding, emotional patterns, and creative exploration. This workshop brings together two approaches I love: Internal Family Systems and expressive arts. This workshop might appeal to someone who has heard of “parts work” or Internal Family Systems, but it is not required to have any prior knowledge to participate and benefit completely.

Do I need to be artistic? Like, really, I cannot draw or do anything creative at all…
Not at all! This isn't an art class, and there's no right or wrong way to create. Your artwork doesn't need to be beautiful, polished, or even recognizable to anyone else. Art and writing are simply tools for expressing what might otherwise remain difficult to articulate.

You can use colors, shapes, words, symbols, simple drawings, or whatever feels most natural to you. If all you have is a pencil and paper, that's absolutely enough. I will be giving you many options for how you can express your art, including oil pastels, watercolors, pencil, etc. I have had some people choose to journal or even dance the entire workshop because that is the art form they could connect to easiest. You like it, I love it.

That’s dandy, but I am an overachiever…so tell me what materials you recommend? :)
I will send you a list of optional, recommended materials before the workshop, with plenty of low-cost options. Please do not feel that you need to purchase anything special to participate. If it is currently not in your budget to have anything more than pencil and paper, you will be gucci.

What can I expect to experience, emotionally?
There isn't a particular realization or outcome you're supposed to reach during this workshop. You might experience curiosity, inner connection, uncertainty, or something unexpected. All of that is okay. The invitation is simply to explore your inner world with a little more openness and compassion, at a pace that feels right for you. Individuals in the past have experienced everything from deep, insightful moments to more compassion for parts of themselves to happy tears to overall playfulness and wonder. Some individuals have also found this kind of work to reach deeper parts of themselves than they may typically get to in talk therapy, and it is therefore a great complement to therapy.

Privacy and Participation:
I want people to find this workshop highly accessible, which is partially why it is held online and offered at a lower rate. I hope that being able to attend from the comfort of your own home, in a space where you feel safe, will allow you to have a more authentic experience without feeling watched or pressured to share.
Depending on your household, I know finding a private space may not always be easy. If possible, I encourage you to use headphones and find a spot where you can have some privacy during the workshop. We'll ask everyone to respect one another's privacy, and sharing personal experiences or artwork is encouraged, but optional.

Cancellation Policy:
:( You will be so missed! If I am notified via email by 1:00 PM Central Time on Friday, November 13, then you will receive a full refund. No-shows will not receive a refund. There will be no recordings of this event to ensure safety for all participants.

A few final things to know:
This is an experiential workshop for personal reflection and exploration, not an art class or a substitute for individual psychotherapy. You don't need to be in therapy or have prior experience with personal-development practices to attend. As with any reflective experience, you are encouraged to participate in ways that feel appropriate for you.

You will receive a link for the workshop after you have registered. The link should arrive in your email 24- 48 hours before the event. If for some reason you do not receive it, please email me before the session starts on Sunday.

Questions before registering? I'd be happy to talk more about the workshop or help you decide whether it feels like a good fit.
